"St. Death" July, 1987 Ira: Death, embraces everyone, democratically it accepts all life.
Corliss: Feeling my life slip away from me, my thoughts were on death and separation. It was the summer of 1987, I was becoming hypothyroid, the symptoms were subtle, and slow in coming. Having lived fast and hard and seen friends die I feared the worse. There were times I was so tired, it was difficult to imagine taking another step. Death I could vision to be as welcoming as a lover's arms.
